The Initial Xbox Game Pass Additions of 2026 Reveal Xbox Is Still Fighting.
Across the gaming landscape, enthusiasts continue to ring the death bells for Microsoft's gaming division. Xbox was recently outsold by a lesser-known competitor. Platform-specific outlets began covering on PS5 topics as a new development. Last year proved to be a period of total upheaval for the Xbox ecosystem. Yet, based exclusively on the titles headed to the service in 2026, it is apparent that Microsoft continues to plan to attract subscribers with compelling titles on its premier subscription.
The Available Now Titles
The two games you can play right now today, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. Instead, the excitement lies in what's arriving to Game Pass over the next few weeks that's deserving of attention.
Upcoming Headline Games
Starting January 13th, Game Pass will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that deviates from conventional open-world tropes with an intergalactic heist adventure. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, previously described as "a superb mixture of frights and fights."
Compelling Indie Titles
But even the smaller games arriving shortly on the service are quite compelling. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler offering thrilling gameplay, becomes available next week — and you should try it whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.
The British post-apocalyptic game from last year may draw you in remarkably quickly.
Atomfall, the stealth survival game by Rebellion Developments, is also a game to check out. Ultimate tier members also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.
A Solid, Curated Lineup
All in all, these aren't the most groundbreaking additions to Game Pass, and they don't represent tentpole Microsoft studios games that are the sole reason for the service alone. Yet, this selection are rock solid. There's a good mixture of older titles you may have skipped and fairly new titles that lacked the recognition they were due initially — which makes them perfect candidates to get a second chance on Game Pass.
You might need to brace yourself to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, as it happens.
