Football Expert Sutton Takes On Singer Murs in Top Flight Forecasts
Arsenal's ten-match victorious streak came to an end by the Black Cats before the global break, however can the English top division leaders recover against north London rivals Spurs this weekend?
"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," stated soccer specialist Chris Sutton.
"Frank will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still manage to win."
The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this term, against AI, fans and a variety of special visitors.
In week 12, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.
The singer's new album, the new release, is out on the weekend.
Football and Parenting Life
Murs is a skilled footballer as well as a successful artist and has been a featured player of multiple Soccer Aid games over time - but he is not intending a professional return as a footballer.
"{I recently played in a charity game the other night for a mate of mine," he explained. "The team was losing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!
"I still love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it properly again.
"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the time that my daughter or boy decides to play instead."
The singer and his wife Amelia Tank have two children, Madison and Albert, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their coach.
"I will not push football on our children but I've previously told Amelia that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be coaching their weekend football team," he added.
"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly owned a football club for a while too.
"My father did it with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I inherited it. He coached our team for two or three years and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"
Top Division Predictions
Weekend, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
Chelsea may have to be patient for Cole Palmer's comeback from fitness issues but their attack is already more potent with Joao Pedro and Delap both back fit.
I still think this fixture will be quite close, though. The Clarets are disciplined and their sole at Turf Moor losses so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.
It suggests a one-all draw to me, but I am in fact going to go with Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.
The expert's forecast: 1-2
Olly's pick: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3
AI's prediction: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Cherries have been defeated in their previous couple matches - albeit both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which surprised me.
In contrast, the Hammers secured back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those games were at home, they appear competitive again.
West Ham's sole away victory this season came at Nottingham Forest in August, when their boss Nuno Espirito Santo was previously that team's coach.
Therefore, what exactly do I predict here - can West Ham extending their run under their manager, or the home side bouncing back?
I am going to choose Bournemouth, because I believe what happened against Aston Villa was a anomaly.
The pundit's forecast: 2-0
The guest's prediction: Bournemouth are performing strongly but West Ham have improved under their boss. 2-2
AI's pick: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Bees were seen as one of the favourites for the drop before the campaign began, but they have surprised a few observers under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three wins in their past four games.
My son advised me to select Bees striker Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks ago and, guess what, I didn't listen.
The forward will likely score again on the weekend but I am still not going to select him or back Brentford at Brighton's ground.
They have not had great fortune on the travel this season, and the Seagulls are consistently decent at home. The visitors will attempt to hit them on the break but I think Fabian Hurzeler's team carry much more of a threat.
Sutton's prediction: 2-1
Olly's prediction: This could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a lot of goals but it actually proves to be rather tight. 1-1
The computer's outcome: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
This is a huge fixture for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six matches.
Fulham have have lots of talent in their squad but it still feels like they could be dragged into a relegation battle.
As for Sunderland, indeed they are the surprise package of the top flight campaign so far.
The away side's display in the two-all tie with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We have not witnessed any other team rough up the North London side like that this term, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.
The sensible thing would be to support the Black Cats here, because they are clearly capable of roughing the hosts up too and, the last time they were in west London, they defeated Chelsea at the end of October.
But I am not going to choose that. Rather, I truly need to continue opposing Sunderland with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their good outcomes because they clearly love to defy my predictions.
Looking at the home side's home form, the sole side they have lost to is Arsenal. Their manager's side will be absolutely desperate for a positive result, so I am going to say they will pick up three much-needed points.
Sutton's forecast: 1-0
The guest's prediction: I know the visitors are doing well and also that the hosts are on a bad run... but they have nonetheless been decent at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0
The algorithm's outlook: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
This is a hard one to predict. The Reds have lost seven of their last ten games in every tournament, but might they be one of the teams who profit from the {international break|
